You trust us with data about your reef tank. We take that seriously. We collect what we need to run the app, we don't sell it, and you can delete everything anytime. We are a one-person Canadian operation, not a data broker.
Username, email address, and hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Everything you log — tank details, water parameters, livestock records, equipment, water changes, dosing schedules, photos, and notes. This is your data.
Which features you use and how often. We do not track you across other websites.
Your tank data powers your dashboard, charts, and AI analysis.
With your permission (opted in by default, opt out anytime in Settings), we use anonymized aggregated parameter readings to build community benchmarks. No personal information, usernames, or tank names are ever included.
We send transactional emails and, if subscribed, weekly summaries and alerts. Unsubscribe anytime in Settings.
We do not sell your data. We do not share with advertisers.
| Service | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | AI analysis | Tank parameters during AI requests |
| Resend | Email delivery | Email address and content |
| Cloudflare | Hosting and photo storage | App traffic and photos |
| Backblaze B2 | Database backups | Encrypted backups |
When you use AI analysis, your tank parameter data is sent to Anthropic's API to generate recommendations. We recommend not including sensitive personal information in tank notes.
AI recommendations should be treated as suggestions from an informed hobbyist, not professional aquatic advice.

ReefLog is in beta. We recommend not using ReefLog as your sole record of tank history during this period.
